LOL and yet sometimes I do enjoy pages like that. Sometimes I head back to linger on a classic (Brothers Karamazov maybe more than WAP). We've mostly become scanners rather than readers. The rush is likely eroding comprehension skills as well as encouraging less analysis. But complexity was never popular, even when we had only paper and time.
