This broke my heart but I recognize the joy peaking through. Oh my, Logan, as someone who just turned 60 this month, I’m trying to embrace aging in any way I can lol. I’m not easily identified IRL as the lesbian I am, nor my son as trans. Strange how “passing” was always the goal but is now a little deflating. I remind people all the time of my family’s queerness (our smallish area has some real conservative pockets, like the gym member who tells me every time she sees me what Trump just said in some rally.) I swear I’m going to move but until then, I hope I can give hope to those hidden around here. Thank you for your poignant words.
