Such a complex issue. I was once an angry-feminist-with-global-rage who married a man and raised sons. That experience gave me a new perspective, that it’s not men but patriarchy (not the same thing of course) and that women (especially as mothers) often prop the whole thing up. I am thrilled with the younger generations—like my kids—who are dismantling the rigid gender and sexuality dichotomies. That is a step in the right direction as we can see by the histrionics of those invested in the old structures.
