I agree about this trend. It's an acting out or maybe an attempt at manipulation, at least as I see it happening on social media. I'm not sure why anyone thinks they will be missed. This is the nature of our big world.

For me, Medium offers a lot--variety, connecting with other creators, the inspiration, the feedback. Money isn't my goal, so I don't read those posts or study the process.
