I’ve never been comfortable with the hierarchies and labels like “primary”. However, due to things like children, cohabitation, and finances, partnerships necessarily have different expectations and take precedence at times. Its not that a “primary” is one I love more but maybe one I have more obligation to. It’s complicated but I agree the goal is authenticity in the present.
