Insightful and disturbing. I suppose most people will do what most people always do, but I see individuals occasionally recognizing the cycle and stepping back. Trouble is, we ARE tribal, and now our tribes are often scattered across the world, reachable only online. I’ve felt this is wonderful, really, as oddballs don’t have to be isolated and tribeless like I was growing up. They have support networks and recognition like their mainstream brothers. But you point out the dark side.
