You choose your identity and I accept that, and it’s likely a spectrum like many sexualities. From the few demis I know, “demisexual” is the inability for sexual desire for a person until one has an emotional relationship. Only after an emotional relationship, would a demisexual feel sexual arousal. Feeling desire on meeting someone is more traditional (I don’t mean jumping into bed lol). Being attracted to character vs body, which is what it seems to say here, can be a traditional experience too; sexual partners find different qualities attractive.
