I’m primarily a fiction writer, so I’ve never expected big things from Medium which is more a nonfiction platform (particularly how-tos). I wrote a few fitness posts which outperformed my fiction by 100x lol, but it’s not my focus in being here. I guess my point is people are here for different reasons—often not really to make money. I think it’s the FOMO ones thinking easy money who hop in then hop out when making money means work. Same thing we’re seeing the AI art and ebook world.
