I’m not exactly sure why, but this animal analogy impacted me more than the dozen essays I’ve read about Medium’s business. Yes, I have many reader friends not on Medium and no matter how often I explain it, they don’t get what this platform is about. They truly don’t know what they don’t know and they’re not willing to pay for another “social site” or “blogging community” when they have many free ones already.
