I was thrilled to find this in my mail today. I’m writing a series of caning episodes and finding ways to describe strokes. Long canes have versatility like you point out—how to vary the wrist and arm. I think of it as whipping the tip stings, landing the lower 3-4 inches bites, and a full reed burns. I’ve never used artificial materials but hear good things. Something about the natural curve I like. Thanks!
