I love this chapter. If you're familiar with Carol Gilligan and the "ethics of care" and the Kohlberg moral development silliness from the 50s, you'll get what I'm doing as Victor and Elisabeth take opposite sides on what's developing between Eleanor and Eddie. You know, this is a fictional story meant to be entertaining and fun, but the structure and themes I build on go rather deep for anyone who enjoys that complexity.
