I genuinely can't imagine how you even begin to know who you really are after years of mirroring. That is, until I read your point about writing. That IS you. The more you do of that, the clearer YOU become, right? Though I've never had that experience of mirroring, it's the same for me...I'm telling myself who I am with every word.
