I don't like it for a different reason. It seems less rapey to me than privileged. The whole reason the woman in the song wants to leave is because how people will talk. She actually WANTS to stay and is letting herself be persuaded because she knows as a woman she will gain a bad reputation. She knows SHE will be the one getting in trouble from all her family and friends: "The neighbors might think", "I ought to say, 'No, no, no', "At least I'm gonna say that I tried", "My sister will be suspicious", "My brother will be there at the door", "My maiden aunt's mind is vicious", "There's bound to be talk tomorrow", "At least there will be plenty implied" . You know, a woman is supposed to save it or sell it for a ring.
