I don't drink a lot of water myself, but I do drink a wide variety of other things. If you're not fasting, about 20% of your fluid intake comes from food. Where you get the rest is up to you. The bullshit about caffeine drinks not counting is just that, bullshit. If it's liquid, it counts. The only issue may be if you drink a lot of soft drinks, you have two issues. If it has HFCS, you gain weight and risk developing nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. If you drink one with sugar substitutes, you may develop kidney stones.
