Here’s my obligatory interaction comment. 😉 Seriously though, I don’t understand the payout process and am cynical of corporate words anyway.

As a highly niche writer, I learned long ago that those who are willing to pay for lesbian erotic fantasy-adventure fiction written from a dom’s POV (all 5 of them) aren’t going to give me a living let alone make me rich when they have a million free omegaverse stories. It’s a “free and good enough” vs “literary quality but I’m giving up a six pack of beer for this” conundrum.

I read a great deal of nonfiction on Medium, too, and it seems the tech writers are really losing money now. If that’s truly the case, maybe this shift was to improve the fiction audience. Because the general impression has always been that Medium isn’t a fiction writer’s arena. Even so, I’ve been able to pay for my membership every month, so there’s that.
