Alcohol isn’t considered a carb, fat, or protein because it offers no nutrition. What it does do is stop your metabolic processes in its tracks to manage the alcohol because it’s poison. That slows down fat burning. It affects the brain leading to carb cravings. Works the liver to clear it out. It’s pretty complex what’s going on. The web has many great resources with details. Every ounce you drink works against fitness goals, but the payoff might be worth it. I enjoy a few beers with friends once a month.
